Project Description:

BADR, one of the major Algerian banks with a network of about 300 agencies. BADR represents the financial services institutions activities in Algeria and is directly concerned with the sector developments & requirements. Together with RT2i / Thales Security Systems, specialist in Security of Information Systems, the bank aims at producing a state of security places leading to the elaboration of a Security action plan over the period of 2007-2009.

Services:

A BIA has been elaborated focusing on the points of control of Basle II and mainly identifying the different critical lines of business of the bank with respect to events of operational risk and to receive the needs of these lines of business in terms of availibility, integrity, confidentiality and traceability. The study then was focused over one of the functional and technical aspects based on the ISO 17799.
It has also gained from the results of the technical configuration audits and intrusion tests based on several anchor points internal to the network of BADR and external to the network pointing the telephony architecture and the bank’s main web site.
The overall recommendations formulated have been incorporated into a security action plan covering the period of 2007-2009. This has led to classification of actions with respect of several criteria (efficiency in risk coverage, cost and delays for deployment, technical and organizational complexities...)

Project Description:

Various projects of infrastructure and vertical solutions.

Services:

- SMS/RT2I and CIS supported Byblos Bank during the development phases of different project by supplying expertise and training related to its projects.
- SMS/RT2I and CIS installed 70 HP3000 servers including a Turbolmage database and configured it in order to deal with all banking transactions whether overseas or central. 50 Windows servers have been installed for clients’ signature verification. Implementation of 60 Windows–based servers for video monitoring and security.
- Implementation of the total LAN network infrastructure at the branches of Byblos Bank and management of the LAN and WAN infrastructures with HP Openview Network Node Manager installed under SUN Solaris.
- Implementation of an HP9000 server in a high availability environment and HP3000 servers with X25 connections.
- These servers operate with STERIA-STECARD banking application, enabling the management of local and international ATM transactions.
- Provision of on-site support by CIS Lebanon.

Project Description:

Deployment of servers and transactional databases.

Services:

During the development phase, CIS assisted BLC Bank by providing expertise, training and support to its projects.
CIS implemented all the network infrastructures LAN and WAN in the 50 branches of BLC.
CIS implemented 50 HP3000 servers with Turbolmage data base and configured it to deal with all transactions procedures of the central systems (Back-End).

Client: Bank of Central African States (BEAC)

Project Description:

Deployment of UNIX infrastructure servers in 7 African countries. This was part of a project of restructuring information infrastructure in order to meet the requirements of the banking applications.

Services:

In order to satisfy the needs of BEAC, SMS/RT2I delivered and installed information equipment in 7 countries which consisted of 32 HP3000 servers. SMS/RT2I also supplies on-line support for all the servers and PCs the BEAC.
