Project Description:

The Government of Ghana planned to provide the infrastructure to achieve computerized budgets and expenditure management .The objectives were: to improve existing accounting practices and address the weaknesses identified in the public financial management reform program of the budgeting and public expenditure management system.

Services:

SMS-RT2I worked on this project in partnership with Hewlett-Packard to answer the requirements of the Government of Ghana. The project consisted of implementing a secure network for transmission of critical data between the different entities related to the Ministry of Finance. The latest state-of-the-art technologies in the field of security of extranets (Firewall, Virtual Private Networks, PKI, Gigabit LANs), network management with HP Openview (management of systems, networks and applications, help desk), systems (midrange to high-end HP-UX servers in a High Availability configuration using Fiber Channel connectivity and storage and High-End NT servers and workstations) have been installed and are integrated with Oracle RDBMS and Mail applications.
SMS/RT2I is providing on-site support for existing systems and applications through CIS Ghana.

Project Description:

The Ministry of Interior is working on implementing a complete solution to provide centralized access from all borders offices available on the Lebanese territory. The solution will also include the upgrade of the existing passport production method to a new state-of-the-art passport production and identification system to meet the requirements of high response time, security, enhanced and efficient access to the centralized database which will be used by the legal authorities. An archiving solution for securing critical data will also be built.
CIS is providing on-site support.
